Between The Beers

Above Average Thoughts From An Average Guy

Is Plagiarism The Highest Form Of Flattery?

I figured the day would come when my ideas were embraced, manufactured, and profited from.  I just thought I would be included.

As I was browsing through Barstool Sports, an activity I would suggest for any employed (or unemployed) person looking to bring the least bit of joy to their day, when I came across a familiar image.   R2-D2 projecting hologram 2Pac, a concept and idea I developed a mere 12 hours after his resurrection.  But my man took it one step further.

He created this:

The culprit?

SethwardProductions

Crafty with a Macbook and Final Cut Pro, my idea was brought to life, mimicking the series of images as perceived in the inner depths of my mind.  But does BtB get  any love in the creating process?

Nope….

All the faithful beerys know I was the first on the scene with the concept.  Why do you think I slapped the URL on the image?  For the street cred of course!

But what’s done is done.  All that’s left to do is clean up the trail of shit the hurricane of heartbreak created in the Gulf waters of SethwardProductions.

Should I be flattered?  Should I be estatic that my vision has been brought to life?  Hell yeah.

Am I also entitled to be pissed?  You fucking know it.
